AI Assistants

AI that does real work instead of just talking.

AI creates the most value when it becomes part of an existing workflow: preparing translations, analyzing data, suggesting the next step, processing content, or taking over part of repetitive work.

I do not start by asking, “Where can we add AI?” I start with a more useful question: “Which part of this work could be simpler?”

Without AI

User reads the data → finds relevant information → copies it → writes the content → checks it → translates it → repeats the process.

With a well-designed AI assistant

The system collects the relevant context → AI prepares a result → the user reviews and confirms it.

AI does not remove the need for good business logic. It is simply one of the tools inside the system.

Where AI can help

AI becomes useful when it gets a real job.

The same technology can be used in completely different ways depending on the product, its data, and its users.

01

Content and translation

AI can prepare translations, adapt content for other languages, and help process larger volumes of textual information.

02

Data analysis

Data already available in the system can become context for summaries, comparisons, explanations, and decision support.

03

Administrative assistance

Repetitive writing and organizational tasks can use an assistant that prepares a useful first result instead of starting from zero every time.

04

Recommendations

AI can combine data, business rules, and user context to suggest a relevant next step.

05

Classification and processing

Large numbers of records can be classified, checked, summarized, or prepared automatically for further processing.

06

User assistance

An assistant can understand product context and help users without requiring them to manually search through numerous screens and records.

AI inside the product

The best AI often does not look like AI at all.

Users should not have to open a separate chat and explain the full context to an assistant every time.

When AI is already part of a business application, the product can provide the relevant data and task at exactly the point where assistance is needed.

01

Save

AI can process information or prepare additional content when the user saves data.

02

Analyze

Existing system data becomes context for analysis and explanation.

03

Suggest

The user receives a suggestion based on information the application already knows.

04

Translate

Content can be prepared for other languages without leaving the existing workflow.

05

Assist

An administrator or user receives help exactly where it is needed inside the product.

Control

An AI assistant also needs to know what it must not do.

01

A clear task

There first needs to be a specific task that AI is expected to improve.

02

The right context

The assistant should receive only the information that is relevant to the task.

03

Human control

Not every AI decision should automatically become final. A person can review, edit, approve, or reject the result.

04

Boundaries

We define what AI is allowed to do, which data it may use, and where it must stop.

Principle

AI

Build the system first. Add intelligence where it creates value.

If a problem can be solved reliably with a rule, validation, a better filter, or better UX, that is often a better solution than AI.

I use AI when part of the problem genuinely benefits from language understanding, context, classification, generation, or decision support.

Frequently asked questions

AI without magic and without unnecessary hype.

What is an AI assistant inside a business application?

It is AI functionality that understands the context of a specific system and helps with a real task such as content processing, analysis, classification, recommendations, or administration.

Does an AI assistant have to look like a chat interface?

No. In many cases the user simply clicks Save, Analyze, Translate, or another normal product action while AI works in the background as part of the existing functionality.

Can AI use data from the application?

Yes, but access should be deliberately limited. The relevant information, user permissions, task context, and the way results are validated all need to be defined.

Does every business process need AI?

No. If a problem can be solved more simply and reliably with normal business logic, automation, validation, or better UX, adding AI is unnecessary.

AI in your workflow

Is there a task your team keeps repeating?

Tell me how it is done today. Then we can decide whether AI actually makes sense there — and where.
